Movies are one of the most important forms of connecting with people. It is a medium which is widely used and abused. Some movies just stay with u long after u've even forgotten the main storyline. When i sit to recollect which are my favourites i would have to sit for some time and think. The list would include a rainbow of various movies i've wached over the time. Anahat, Bombay to Goa, Padosan, Sarfarosh, Golmaal(old), Life is beautiful, etc. There is nothing specific that i look for in the movies, but most of the times it is the theme which attracts me. In this make-belief world what i most detest is hypocrisy. I hate filmmakers like Sanjay Leela Bhansali who claim to create profound art and try to play God. He is the other extreme of Satyajit Ray. Ray tried to portray the nuances of ordinary life in ordinary settings, this man here tries to create fantastic world in magnificent atmosphere. In Devdas he tried to use all the available colours in the world, which didn't work out fine so his next ventures were as colourless as possible. What he forgot to put into his movies was their soul. Highly superficial and artificial is a very common characeristics of his movies. No doubt that this is an unreal medium of art yet it has to realistic. I hope this time around Sanlay realizes his error and doesn't repeat it in his next film.

Movies certainly are one of the most important forms
of connecting with people. many times we are witnessing a plethora of movies without any head or tail leave alone a soul but surprisingly many of these movies are those which are super duper hit...i have observed that an average person watches any movie to relieve himself/herself of the worldy worries surrounding them... live a surreal life for two and half hours....when mr. bhansali made hum dil de chuke sanam masses alongwith classes showered accolades to him...it was festival of colors with devdas, black wherein two best artists of our film industry performed was a disappointing failure at box-office and now sawariya(saw-ar-yak)(earned more than hollywood film of tom cruise).... but nevertheless it is an art which has no boundaries except self realization...like me you may stay away from these movies as long as you can.....
